A <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nicotine-vaping-in-england-2022-evidence-update/nicotine-vaping-in-england-2022-evidence-update-summary#chapter-16-conclusions">2015 government report</a> found that vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking, posing only a small fraction of the risk.
The main conclusion was that there is a huge difference in the level of risk between vaping and smoking.
Evidence also suggests that vapes and e-cigarettes can be used to help you quit smoking for good.
This is because they offer a less harmful alternative to smoking that can help manage nicotine cravings during a quit attempt.
